New Article: Nicki Swift Stated On Her Blog About Reasons On Why Hollywood Should Cast Alyssa Milano Again In More Shows!

"For decades, Alyssa Milano was one of the biggest names on the small screen. These days, however, the New York-born actress hasn't been getting as many acting jobs as she used to. Which is a shame, because we think Hollywood is missing out on a big opportunity for success. Let's explore why we think it's time she should make a comeback.

Nostalgia is all the rage right now

These days, the television industry is all about making old shows new again. Between revivals of Full House, 24, and Gilmore Girls, it's hard not to feel like we're living in, say, 1998, than 2016 whenever we turn on our TVs. With the nostalgia wave riding high in Hollywood, now seems like the perfect time for Milano to re-enter the spotlight.

For one thing, she's been in the business for three decades. Even better, her resume spans multiple generations, which would allow her to carry in her nostalgic fans of shows like Who's the Boss?, Melrose Place, and Charmed while bringing in a whole new group, should she find the right project. The idea pretty much writes itself.

A Charmed reunion seems inevitable

Speaking of nostalgia: every year, it seems like we're getting closer and closer to finally witnessing some type of Charmed reunion. Fans' dreams almost came true when CBS considered rebooting the popular WB series in 2013. The reboot, of course, never materialized; Milano told Paste magazine in 2016 that an "uproar" from fans forced CBS to kill it altogether.

Still, if planned correctly, a Charmed reboot of any sorts could do wonders for the network that decides to give it a whirl. Netflix, of course, would be the obvious home for this type of project. For starters, Charmed has proven to be very popular on the streaming service; a 2013 report claimed that it was the second most binge-watched show available for streaming. Plus, Netflix has proven time and again that it can turn even the cruddiest of shows into bonafide hits. So, who's to say Charmed 2.0 wouldn't stream for at least a handful of seasons?

For her part, Milano has seemed a little on the fence about casting one more spell. In February 2016, the actress told Entertainment Tonight the cast was "totally on board" for a reunion. However, that same day, she told Paste magazine a bit of a different story. "It's so hard to replicate [the success of Charmed] because it is such a part of that generation," she said. "The chemistry was so unique. I don't know how you replicate that show. Unless you just spin it off in a totally different way, with different characters, and try to replicate what we did … When something works that well, I don't know how you try to replicate it." Something tells us a hefty paycheck from Netflix would change that tune pretty quickly.

Hollywood loves a comeback

What does Hollywood love more than nostalgia? A good comeback story. Having survived the business for over 30 years, Milano is poised to remind audiences that, yes, she was a good actress back in the day and that she's still good today. Certainly, she's given the comeback train a try, primarily through mediocre and underwhelming shows like Mistresses and Romantically Challenged.

If it were up to us, we'd have Milano go a different route than network television. In fact, she might be wise to take a page from the book of Winona Ryder, another actress who's finding her footing again after success in the '80s and '90s. In the past few years, Ryder has proven her worth again by unexpectedly appearing in a number of high-profile projects, ranging from Darren Aronofsky's Oscar-winning Black Swan, to David Simon's HBO miniseries Show Me a Hero and Netflix's spooky new series, Stranger Things. With each role, Ryder surprised us with her newfound versatility while reminding us of the good ol' days of Beetlejuice and Little Women. It's proven to be a winning combination for Ryder thus far, one that could have similar effects on a career like Milano's.

She's really versatile

If you want to survive in Hollywood for more than 30 years, you're going to have to be flexible. Nobody knows that more than Milano. In the past decade alone, Milano has proven she's more than just your typical television actress. She's launched a successful line of women's football wear; she's hosted Project Runway All Stars; and she's been an ambassador for UNICEF for 13 years.

In doing so, Milano vastly increased her marketability, to the point where Hollywood can cast her in a wide range of projects and not have to worry about whether or not she'll be a success. This marketability factor makes her a perfect candidate for a genre like daytime television. Whether it's through her own lifestyle program or talk show, we could easily see Milano appearing each morning on, say, The View, and not only fitting in, but lasting multiple seasons as well.

She's all grown up now

At age 43, Milano has entered the phase of her acting career where she can believably take on more mature and adult roles. As we've seen in the last decade, television has become the place for women over 40 to reboot their careers with strong leading roles on strong quality programming. Perhaps unknowingly, Milano herself seemed to pitch the idea to Hollywood while talking to Paste magazine in 2016. "Television has always created great, strong female characters even when the film world didn't and doesn't — because it's still that way," she said. "If you look at these factors, years, and years, and years ago, even when you look at shows like Cagney and Lacey — those were two really strong women. Even Who's The Boss? Look at Angela. She was a divorced, single mom that ran her own business, who hired a dude to take care of the kids and house."

She continued: "If you think about TV with shows like The Good Wife or any on the ABC lineup, like Scandal or How to Get Away With Murder … strong, strong, strong female characters that could have only been developed for television. TV has always developed better roles for women." Ummm, wait. Alyssa Milano on Scandal? Sign us up, please.

She's a survivor

As we've mentioned, Milano has been famous ever since Who's the Boss? premiered in 1984. For the most part, she's been a bankable celebrity ever since. Clearly, she's doing something right; you probably wouldn't be reading this if she wasn't.

The fact that Milano is still working and still relevant shows she's both talented and profitable; if you hire Milano, she's going to get the job done. Now, isn't it time someone gave her that job?"

New Article: “Charmed” Actress Alyssa Milano Credits 46-Pound Weight Loss To Low-Carb High-Fat Atkins Diet!
Posted on 30 Jul 2016

"Charmed actress Alyssa Milano and her talent-agent husband David Bugliari had their second child, daughter Elizabella, in 2014. Since the latest Alyssa Milano pregnancy the 43-year-old dropped from 172 pounds to 126 pounds. Alyssa Milano’s weight loss is credited to the low-carb high-fat Atkins diet.

When Alyssa Milano had her baby she began cutting out carbs and sugar, and had some success, but the last 20 pounds were harder to lose. She then did her research and noticed that the Atkins diet was similar to what she was already doing; however, the Atkins approach was just a little bit easier to follow.

“I feel so much better than I did before, it’s crazy,” explained Alyssa Milano, who is known for her role in the ABC sitcom Who’s the Boss?, which aired from 1984 to 1992. “You know that feeling when you’re dieting where you stomach is growling and you’re angry and moody?

There’s none of that [with Atkins], because you’re getting fats and proteins. It’s great!”

Alyssa Milano’s 46-pound weight loss propelled the actress to become the spokesperson for Atkins’ “Happy Weight” campaign. Alyssa Milano also writes a weight-loss blog on the Atkins website where the actress suggests low-carb high-fat tips for Atkins dieters."

New Article: Alyssa Milano’s 46 Pound Atkins Diet Weight Loss Detailed "Daily Menu And Snacks"!

"Alyssa Milano maintains her 46-pound weight loss with the low carb Atkins diet and feels amazing.

The 5-foot-2 Milano slimmed down from 172 pounds to 126 pounds with the low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet, as Celebrity Health Fitness previously reported.

Like many people, Alyssa was afraid of eating fat. Since adopting Atkins, she realizes that consuming healthy fats such as olive oil and eggs is a great way to curb hunger.

“I feel so much better than I did before!” said Milano. “You know that feeling when you’re dieting where your stomachs growling and you’re angry and moody? There’s none of that [with Atkins], because you’re getting fats and proteins.”

Alyssa’s daily meals usually include chicken, fish, eggs or meat coupled with high-fiber vegetables. For snacks, Milano enjoys cut-up vegetables with hummus, nuts, or a piece of cheese.

“The protein, fiber and healthy fats in the whole foods I’m eating keep me satisfied and eliminate any cravings,” Alyssa wrote on her Atkins diet blog.

“If I’m traveling, there’s always room in my purse for a few portions of almonds, plenty of water, and my favorite Atkins Pecan Caramel Clusters to satisfy my sweet tooth.”

Alyssa Milano began the Atkins diet a few months ago to jump-start her weight loss after giving birth to her second child in September 2014.

The “Who’s The Boss” beauty was surprised she was able to lose weight without starving or feeling hungry all the time, like she did on other diets.

Low carb, high-fat diets like Atkins keep blood sugar stable, suppress appetite, and enhance mental clarity, said Dr. Eric Westman, author of New Atkins For A New You."

New Article: Exclusive The Ingenious Tricks That Helped Alyssa Milano Lose 20 Pounds Via "Delish"!
Posted on 16 Jul 2016
Posted by Admin
Alyssa News icon

"The actress and social activist swears by a few tried-and-true methods (none of which taste like "diet food").

Alyssa Milano's resume is as varied as they come. Sure, she starred in Who's The Boss? and Charmed, but in the years since, she's been dabbling in all sorts of areas, starring in Project Runway All Stars, designing a line of luxe paper towels for Viva, and even launching her own hacking-meets-social-activism comic book series, Hacktivist.

But her true hidden superpower is her knowledge of low-carb food that doesn't suck. She's become a connoisseur of cutting out starches after getting on the Atkins diet a while ago, when she struggled to lose the last 20 pounds of baby weight. The diet worked so well that she decided to stick with it, adopting it as a lifestyle, rather than a way to quickly drop pounds. Here are some of her tried-and-true techniques.

1. Taco 'Bout A Great Tortilla Substitute.

Taco nights are especially popular at Milano's house. "I love any sort of meal I can cook for my kids," she explains. While she puts out regular taco shells for the kids, she'll use lettuce or cabbage to wrap up hers.

The same goes for sandwiches. "I find that it's just satisfying to wrap any kind of sandwich in a good piece of sturdy lettuce, like iceberg or butter lettuce," she says. "It give it a nice crunch."

2. Dough Not Use Traditional Pizza Crust.

Milano loves making homemade pizza, and if she's having a slice, she'll often make it with a cauliflower crust. To save time, she buys the dough pre-made, but you could try this recipe.

She'll often go for a plain cheese slice, but she'll splurge on one topping: ranch dressing. "I love ranch dressing on anything, really," she says.

3. Choose Plenty of Protein for Breakfast.

The actress skips toast or cereal, preferring scrambled eggs and turkey bacon most mornings. The protein helps you feel fuller longer. (She often follows that up with salad and fish for lunch, getting in a hearty dose of veggies to round things out.)

4. Get Saucy, Not Starchy.

The Brooklyn native grew up in an Italian family, where her mom made "Sunday sauce" every weekend (AKA tomato sauce). "I'm really good at making pasta dishes, but unfortunately, I can't have them right now," Milano says. But she has found some alternatives, like using thinly sliced zucchini in place of noodles in her lasagna.

5. Chip in For Healthier Snacks.

Milano has an organic vegetable garden in her backyard, which makes it easier for her to throw together a salad—or whip up a healthier alternative to potato chips when she's craving something salty. "I make kale and spinach chips that the kids love," she says. "I just drizzle them with olive oil, salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon, then cook them over low heat for 15 minutes or so."

You know you've got a crowd pleaser when even toddlers give it the seal of approval. Another favorite carb-free snack? Flavored almonds. "I really love wasabi pepper almonds," she says.

6. Go Ahead and Be Cheesy.

Just in case Milano's parents come to visit over the weekend—and, admittedly, just because it's so undeniably good—the actress always keeps a bunch of cheese on hand, to throw together a quick cheese platter. "There's nothing like a good cheese plate," Milano says, who's a big fan of bleu cheese and aged gouda. Here's one she put together for us, which also includes strawberries, grapes, cherries, cured meat and pickles (and, in case you're curious, that paper towel is from her Viva line):

7. When Life Hands You Lemons, Squeeze Them on Everything.

So many of the most crave-worthy toppings on meals add a ton of flavor—and calories. (Ahem, cheese, bacon, ranch dressing.) Milano adds fresh lemon or lime juice to "just about everything," to give a dish a citrusy kick without turning it into a calorie-bomb. "

Charmed Updates icon

Hello everybody,

Following its prior release in 4 parts in November 2015, Paul Ruditis' Charmed: Let Gorgons be Gorgons will soon be released as a single digital novel on February 2nd, 2016. Below are the description and short synopsis from the novel! I hope everyone will go download and buy the books showing your endless support to "Charmed" franchises.

Summary:

"When Piper, Phoebe, and Paige undo a spell that turned a local politician to stone, they little realize the powerful magic behind the hex. As attacks on innocents mount, The Charmed Ones enlist the help of their sister, Prue, confined on the magical Nexus, only to learn that the most heinous of mythical creatures—a gorgon—is to blame.

Freed from her underground tomb, Medusa joins her sisters in a crusade to avenge womankind, turning those who cross her to stone forever. At the same time, dark magic seems to be undoing all of Phoebe’s good works, distracting her from the impending battle with the gorgons. With time running out, will the sisters be able to defeat Medusa and restore their innocents to life?

Inspired by the hit televisions series Charmed, the new novel Charmed: Let Gorgons Be Gorgons continues the story of the Halliwell witches. The sisters use the Power of Three to protect the innocent and banish evil from the Earthly realm.

Charmed Updates: Exclusive Alyssa Milano Wants To Do A Charmed Reboot Just As Much As You Do!

Charmed Updates icon

"Another day, another remake?

2016 is proving to be the year of the revival. With the Fuller House reboot available to watch on Netflix as we write this and Gilmore Girls filming again too, it seems a domino effect is sweeping our nostalgic minds and television screens.

This phenomenon hasn’t been missed by Charmed actress Alyssa Milano who, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, has spoken about the possibility of a revival for The Charmed Ones.

"It seems like that's going to happen any second. I just feel like with all these reunions, and we still have such a cult following, that I feel like someone's going to put that together at some point," she said, "and we're all totally on board for that!"

Charmed, which also starred Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty and Rose McGowan, first aired in 1998 on the U.S. network The WB, with the final episode airing in 2006."

New Article: Exclusive Alyssa Milano Shares With "Only On AOL" On How Did She Stays True To Herself!
Posted on 12 Jul 2016
Posted by Admin
Alyssa News icon

"Mom of two Alyssa Milano, today clad in a ravishing Mimi Plange frock, has a very simple fashion rule for her everyday life.

A good jacket can cure any sartorial illness, and spruce up an outfit. She points to one on the couch nearby. "That's what I'm talking about: a great white coat," says Milano.

The actress and author has learned about style on camera, as the host of "Project Runway All Stars," airing on Lifetime on Thursdays. But sadly, all those amazing ensembles she wears on it aren't usually hers to keep. "It's usually two to three outfits per episode," she says, adding that most of them go back. "Not all of it, but a lot of it."

When she shoots the show in New York, Milano brings her whole family: husband Dave Bugliari and their kids Milo and Elizabella. And she sticks to routine as much as possible.

"I find that the nighttime ritual with the kids is very important to be home for. They are better rested if I'm home for that. Home-cooked meals as much as humanly possible. It makes a huge difference for them to see mom making dinner for them," says Milano.

She very famously broke out as a kid as tomboy Sam on "Who's the Boss?" but isn't sure about either of her kids entering the family business.

"So far, I know that my son is probably too shy to do it, which I love. Her, though? She's a little showman. The most important thing you can do as a parent is encourage who they normally would be, who they innately are, and give them the opportunity to be that, whether that means their sexuality," she says.

One of the many things we love about Milano: her unfailing ability to call things like she sees them. She's shared shots of herself breastfeeding while getting glammed up. And she never pretended to bounce back to a size zero one day after giving birth. "I work really hard to stay true to who I am, because I fought really hard to figure that out," she says.

Having a daughter makes being a role model that much more vital. "I didn't think about that stuff before she was born. Now, look, she eats ice cream and I'm like, 'You enjoy that!' I want her to have healthy views on food," says Milano."

New Article: Are There’s Still Bad Blood Over Alyssa Milano’s 2007 Roommate Switch?
Posted on 09 Jul 2016
Posted by Admin
Alyssa News icon

"Almost a decade after Alyssa Milano pulled the “roommate switch” on two CAA agents, the friendship between Michael Kives and Dave Bugliari still hasn’t mended.

“They can be cordial business-wise, but they are no longer friends,” a source told Page Six.

In 2007, Milano was dating Kives for “several months” before she started dating his roommate, Bugliari.

“Michael and David were best friends at the time,” the source tells us. “And for a point they shared clients

together, mainly Jeremy Piven, so they had to still act buddy-buddy in front of him for awhile,” adding that they “would appear to be friends in meetings around the clients and then immediately not to speak to each other.”

At the time, both Kives and Bugliari were assistants and have since moved up the ranks together at CAA.

They “both were promoted in fairly close proximity to one another.”

Of course, it looks like Milano, 43, picked the right roommate. She and Bugliari tied the knot in 2009 and now have two children together, 4-year-old Milo Thomas and 1-year-old Elizabella Dylan.

Kives and Bugliari didn’t get back to us. A rep for Milano could not be reached."
