"The actress, who is a Brooklyn native, penned a letter, obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, to the CEO of Cayuga Centers, Edward Myers Hayes on Thursday where she asked to help his organization in fostering children.
“The last few weeks have been heartbreaking for Americans,” the actress wrote. “We have watched the inhumane destruction at our Southern border as innocent children, already traumatized, were essentially kidnapped from their families in furtherance of a vulgar, xenophobic Trump policy.”
Pleading that “jailing children is simply wrong,” Milano emphasized that the recent immigration policy marks a “dark chapter in our nation’s history” for it’s simply an exemplification of actions “fueled by a twisted desire to criminalize the most vulnerable.”
After learning that Hayes’ organization has offered temporary care for the immigrant children, Milano requested that her home also serve as a safe foundation for children, thinking of her own children in the process. “As a mother, I know that children need to be reunited with their parents in the United States more than anything,” Milano wrote.
Though Trump recently signed an executive order to allow the children to join their families as they are criminally prosecuted, Milano reiterates that the order “makes no mention of reuniting children” and the circumstances have already traumatized the children such that “irreparable damage” may have been done.
“These children need compassion, stability and love more than ever. To them, I offer my home and my heart; my love and whatever stability I can give them until they can be reunited with a parent,” the actress wrote.
Ensuring that she will “register with the appropriate authorities” to be able to temporarily foster children, Milano also promised to “fight their cases” and ensure the immigrants are able to remain in the country. “I am sure this is something many other Americans would consider a moral and patriotic duty.”
Further pleading to Hayes to accept her offer, the actress vowed to give the children hope for their “faith is drained.” “I cannot let these children hurt any longer: Mi casa es la casa de ellos,” Milano wrote in closing.
Milano joins other Hollywood stars who have also been vocal about the issue on social media, with the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Chelsea Handler, Kumail Nanjiani, Reese Witherspoon and others blasting the policy. The immigration policy has also received criticism from both Democrats and Republicans. Former first lady Laura Bush referred to the policy as "cruel" and "immoral" in a guest column for The Washington Post, whereas first lady Melania Trump addressed the controversy by saying she "hates" to see families separated at the border and hopes "both sides of the aisle" can reform the nation's immigration laws."
"Actress Alyssa Milano will star in the first of the three movies, Tempting Fate, which follows the story of mother-who puts her marriage in jeopardy when she meets a handsome younger man who seemingly ignites a fire and desire within her.
The other two movies include To Have and to Hold, which centers on a young woman who marries her high school crush and willingly allows him to mold her into his ideal socialite wife; and Family Pictures, which follows two strangers living on opposite coasts whose daughters befriend each other and discover a shocking secret that threatens to tear both families apart.

Raver, who spent the last few months putting the movie trilogy together, will executive produce all three films with her longtime manager Dave Fleming (Billy Boy), Shane Salerno and Boyer. Filming on Tempting Fate is slated to begin today in Vancouver, with the three films shot back-to-back for a 2019 premiere as a Jane Green event.

Tempting Fate, also exec produced by Milano, Jocelyn Freid (Seeds of Yesterday) and Kara Feifer (Time of Your Life), follows the story of mother-of-two Gabby (Milano) whose picture-perfect marriage to Elliott (Kazee) is jeopardized when she meets Matt (Holtz), a handsome younger man who seemingly ignites a fire and desire within her. What begins as a business opportunity soon develops into an emotional affair leading Gabby to eventually succumb to Matt’s unrelenting attraction and attention, never foreseeing the life-changing consequences that lie ahead.

magic made a wish go wrong:
Where two are, once was one—
but two does not mean twice as strong.
Too much work and no time for play have made Piper a major stress case. When a seemingly harmless wish comes true, creating two Pipers, it looks like the problem's solved. Two Pipers can do twice as much work, leaving one Piper to party the night away and the other to finally have time to relax. While one Piper's home baking, the other can give an interview. Two Pipers? Too perfect.
But soon it becomes clear that two heads—and bodies—aren't always better than one. When Darklighters kidnap Leo and hold him hostage in exchange for the Charmed Ones' powers, one of the Pipers doesn't even seem to care. And then both Pipers' powers fade, leaving them useless and sick. "I, along with others–while fervently against the White House policy that put these children in your care– acknowledge your efforts,” she added. “With this, I write to offer my assistance. Like many people touched by this tragedy, I have thought about ways I can help.”
“As a mother, I know that children need to be reunited with their parents in the United States more than anything,” she continued. “I will register with the appropriate authorities so I can bring some of these children into my home and foster them during this time of need.”
“Afterwards, I will help ensure they get the help they need to fight their cases, stay, and win,” the “Charmed Star” shared. “I am sure this is something many other Americans would consider a moral and patriotic duty, as well. Every passing day traumatizes these children further, perhaps to the point of irreparable damage. These children need compassion, stability, and love more than ever. Mi casa es la casa de ellos — My home is their home."
"“Based on New York City news reports detailing a covert, dark-of-night transport of children it appears your organization has stepped up to temporarily care for these poor souls. I, along with others — while fervently against the White House policy that put these children in your care — acknowledge your efforts,” wrote Milano, 45.
“With this, I write to offer my assistance. Like many people touched by this tragedy, I have thought about ways I can help,” she added. “As a mother, I know that children need to be reunited with their parents in the United States more than anything.”
The “Charmed” screen star and mom of two said she was willing to offer children “my home and my heart; my love and whatever stability I can give them until they can be reunited with a parent.”
“I will register with the appropriate authorities so I can bring some of these children into my home and foster them during this time of need,” she offered in the letter. “Afterwards, I will help ensure they get the help they need to fight their cases, stay, and win. I am sure this is something many other Americans would consider a moral and patriotic duty, as well.”
More than 350 migrant children have been sent to Cayuga after being separated from their parents at the Mexican border under Trump’s policy, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday.
Dozens of more children, ranging in age from about 5 to 11, were paraded into the facility on West 125th Street near Broadway and at East 131st Street and Park Avenue starting as early as 7:15 a.m. Thursday.
While Trump has announced an end to the policy that separates children from parents, no plans on when or how families would be reunified have been announced yet.
“Every passing day traumatizes these children further, perhaps to the point of irreparable damage. These children need compassion, stability, and love more than ever,” wrote Milano.
Milano, who lives in Los Angeles, ended her note with “Mi casa es la casa de hellos” — “My home is their home.”
A source familiar with Milano’s request told The Post: “This is the kind of gesture that defines Alyssa Milano — she walks the walk and talks the talk, and she cares deeply about these kids, and the future of America.”"
"Raver is also making her directorial debut with Tempting Fate, the first film in the series. Charmed alum Alyssa Milano stars in the romantic drama about a married mom who jeopardizes her happy home life by becoming involved with a younger man.
The other Green novels Raver is working to bring to the small screen are To Have and to Hold and Family Pictures.
The 2019 projects were announced Thursday by Tanya Lopez, executive vice president of movies, limited series and original movie acquisitions for Lifetime and LMN.
"Having been a massive fan of Jane's books, it's a dream come true for me and my producing partners to be able to bring these powerful female-centric stories to fruition at Lifetime!" Raver said in a statement. "I'm incredibly grateful to Tanya for championing this trilogy for us and giving me the opportunity to have my directorial debut!"
"In my own journey to uncover who I truly am, and to find—and use—my voice for what I believe in, I’ve been lucky enough to meet many kindred spirits along the way, many of them online. Marc and Angel are among the fellow travelers I’ve come to value the most. Their honesty and clarity, and the generous way they share what they’ve learned for themselves are gifts I’ve truly cherished.
Sharing their ideas with others online is a way of paying forward what I’ve learned, in the hope that others will gain some insight and strength, and in turn, spread the word even further. The pain of self-doubt and the isolation of modern life can make us feel like we’re the only ones struggling, while everyone else is picture-perfect.
That’s why it’s so important to share not just our triumphs but also our setbacks, to “show our work” when we’re in the thick of tough times. Marc and Angel do just that—keeping it real, and creating a community of kindred spirits that gather together in strength, growing and learning along the way"

Rock-a-bye baby, in the elf lair—
Shapeshifters took you,
pretending to care.
If someone can save you,
the Charmed Ones can—
Rock-a-bye baby, don't leave again.
Piper is trying to be her usual super-witch self and do it all—run P3, take care of her newborn son, Wyatt, and, of course, save Innocents. Her first week back at work is hard—leaving Wyatt at his daycare center makes Piper feel like she's abandoning her son. At least Paige has taken a temp job there, and Wyatt seems perfectly content and safe.
But is he? Piper notices that Wyatt's acting strange, not eating or sleeping according to his normal schedule. Phoebe thinks the baby is just going through a stage, but Piper is not convinced. Several of the center's other charges have been exhibiting the same behavior, and some parents are pulling their children from the center's care.
After one toddler asks Paige, "Did they take them because they're the wrong babies?" the sisters discover that someone's swapping babies all over San Francisco. The Charmed Ones spring into action, because not only is Wyatt the most magical being on the planet, but he's also a Halliwell… and nobody messes with the Halliwells!"
"“I think we all owe Monica Lewinsky and Anita Hill and all of those that came before us apologies,” Milano said last week after speaking on Capitol Hill in support of the Equal Rights Amendment. Milano also weighed in on the Miss America pageant’s decision to eliminate the swimsuit portion of the competition.
“What took them so long? I think it’s a great idea. I can’t believe it took this long. We’re in 2018 and we’re really objectifying women up on a stage in a bathing suit; it’s crazy to me but, yes, I’m thrilled about that,” she told PJM.
Addressing the mixed reaction to the decision from current and former pageant contestants, Milano said, “I think anytime you have a cultural shift it might take a little bit for people to get used to, the new idea of what it’s going to be like in the future. So I would say in the long term it’s what’s best for women, in general, and I think they’ll see that eventually.”
Milano, who has appeared in movies such as Fear and television shows including Who’s the Boss? and Charmed was asked if she thinks women should stop appearing nude on camera in films.
“I think that’s a personal choice and I think context is really important, and depending on what the film is and the context around it, what story you’re telling,” she said. “Again, you can’t rip sexuality out of life and, as storytellers, we tell stories of life.”"
