"Last year, the CW Network was developing a reboot/prequel set in the ‘70s, but it looks like they’ve had a change of heart and have retooled the show into a present-day drama, which means there's cameo potential for the original cast.
A new pilot is currently in the works, and will focus on three young sisters who discover they’re witches. The re-imagined Charmed is set in a college town and, according to the synopsis, the sisters will be “vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds.”
Unfortunately, all the OG sisters are unlikely to join the reboot — Shannen Doherty, for example, who is appearing in the new Heathers TV series, pretty much hates the idea. Holly Marie Combs took to Twitter today and said, "Charmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye."
Here’s the thing. Until you ask us to rewrite it like Brad Kern did weekly don’t even think of capitalizing on our hard work. Charmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye.

Alyssa Milano, however, seem a little more receptive to the idea; Milano has even recently shared a throwback to the show on Instagram!"
"Book Description:
The ultimate guide to the hit program Charmed, this is both a book of spells and a key to the mysteries of the show. The Book of Shadows celebrates the best of Charmed, from its roots in the ancient tradition of Wicca to insider information on the show's stars. N.E. Genge not only provides fascinating background details for the show's Wiccan elements, but also guides readers in performing their own magic.
Fans with a witchy bent will learn about the tools of magic and divination and the casting of spells. Recipes and rituals -- from those that beckon love or bless a new business venture to those that bequeath strength or bestow fortune -- are all included. The Book of Shadows is a sassy celebration of witches, sisterhood, and magic.
This book has not been prepared, approved, licensed, endorsed, or in any way authorized by any entity that created or produced Charmed. "
""#StateOfTheDream will highlight what truly makes America great: that we come from many places, races and creeds, and together work for a more perfect union," Milano wrote in an instruction sheet that she tweeted.
"Our digital #StateOfTheDream address will support our dreamers and immigrants, call for a dream act, lean into the Senate, fundraiser for United We Dream, and express our vision for a more inclusive, progressive America."
Milano, who helped popularise Tarana Burke's #MeToo movement, wrote that everyone is welcome to post a video, but she especially encourages anyone seeking political office to participate.
After the initial video blast, contributors can continue "the unifying tweetstorm" by posting with the #StateOfTheDream hashtag.
The actress says a toolkit will be released prior to January 30.
Milano's project will follow by a day the People's State of the Union live-stream event at New York City's Town Hall, a gathering of progressive organisations (MoveOn.org, We Stand United, Stand Up America, People For The American Way, among others) and celebrities including Mark Ruffalo, Whoopi Goldberg, John Leguizamo, Michael Moore and Wanda Sykes.
Set for Monday, the event is self-described as "a hopeful, public alternative to Trump's State of the Union", and will outline a plan of action for the coming year focusing on voter rights, voter registration and voter turnout."
"Indeed, according to the 2017 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report, there are 11.6 million women-owned businesses in the United States today, employing nearly 9 million people and generating more than $1.7 trillion in revenue. While the majority of these companies fall under “other services” (like hair and nail salons), health care and social assistance industries, retail is another area in which women-owned businesses are thriving.
Just ask Alyssa Milano. In addition to being an actor and activist, Milano is the founder of a sports fashion line for women and has enjoyed great success; she is the only licensee with licensing to every major sports league in female apparel.
We had the opportunity to catch up with Ms. Milano about her entrepreneurial spirit, involvement in day-to-day business operations, maintaining a work/life balance, and more."
"The logistics from last year's vague report still hold up: The reboot is happening at the CW. According to Entertainment Weekly, the network has already put in a pilot order. Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, who have credits on Jane the Virgin, are writing the script, so get excited.
That's not all we know, though. This reboot is also receiving a great—and necessary—feminist twist. Per EW, the CW describes this new incarnation as a "fierce, funny, feminist reboot." "Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done," the network's official description reads.
Oh, and there's one more detail that'll really make fans happy: The reboot's happening in the present-day—not the '70s, as previously reported—which opens the opportunity for the Charmed OGs (Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, and Shannen Doherty) to make cameos. Milano and McGowan are both vocal feminist activists now, so they should especially consider dropping by Halliwell Manor again. Cast a spell, and maybe it'll happen.
There's no official premiere date for the Charmed reboot yet, but fingers crossed it happens sooner rather than later. It's high time for a new generation to learn all about Prue, Piper, and Phoebe."
"Dubbed #StateOfTheDream, the movement continues Milano’s digital activism as part of what she, and many others, refer to as “the resistance.” This peaceful protest will occur online, across most popular social media platforms, at 6:00PM PST / 9PM EST, on the 30th, during the president’s speech.
Please join us! Resist and persist with digital counter-programming to Trump’s #SOTU! Check out and share this google doc for instructions and more info. #StateOfTheDream

According to the document posted by Milano, her #StateOfTheDream address will:
Support our dreamers and immigrants, call for a DREAM Act, lean into the Senate, fundraise for United We Dream, and express our vision for a more inclusive, progressive America.
For those unfamiliar — or who simply think of her as an actress — Milano’s digital activism isn’t a new thing. Last year she was recognized as part of the “Silence Breakers,” Time magazine’s Person(s) of The Year, for her efforts as part of the #MeToo movement.
Milano also uses the document to issue a call to fellow resisters to create video clips for the project:
We also invite you create a brief (60 seconds or less) video describing your dream for America: What you hope for. What inspires YOU. (We especially encourage those running for office and those already serving to do so!). All videos should be posted simultaneously at 6pm PST/9pm EST with the hashtag #StateOfTheDream on all of your social channels.
Social media is a perfect medium for peaceful protest, especially when the core message is one of hope and inclusion.
The soul of a nation is defined by its citizens’ ability to agree upon a set of principles and values which reflect the moral fabric of its entire population, something only accomplished when everyone has a voice.
Impassioned leaders in the civil rights movement, like Milano and the other women who transformed #MeToo from a hashtag to a movement, continue to be prove that in the right hands social media can be a positive force for change.
Let us know in the comments if you plan on participating in #StateOfTheDream, we’d love to see your videos."
"Save for the usual hustle of the workroom, the episode remained fairly light on drama… until the time came for the designers to explain their looks before the judges. When the panel accused Helen’s dress of being too “basic” and “neither flattering nor fashion forward,” she got defensive, throwing her fellow designers under the bus in the process.
“There’s no way there’s purple or orange going into this,” Helen said of her design, explaining that she didn’t want it to look “like a clown dress.” She added, “I cared more about execution and fit. It would be a cop-out to just hot glue [the materials] to muslin.”
Picking up on Helen’s sly critique of her fellow designers’ work, Isaac Mizrahi threw a “Shaaaade!” into the mix. And although he insisted he was “just teasing,” Helen replied, “Oh, they’ll take it personal.” And she was right.
“You said you didn’t want to make a clown dress, and you didn’t want to use orange or purple, which were the colors of the dresses next to you on the runway,” Fabio pointed out during a particularly tense discussion backstage. “You undermine everyone else to make yourself look better.”
“Why would I say anything rude about any of you people?” she asked, tears welling in her eyes. “Why would I do that?”
“Because you do it kind of often,” Anthony shyly interjected, to which Helen responded, “The last thing I would want to do is offend anybody” before taking some time to herself.
In fact, Helen was so busy collecting herself that she was late to the runway — though she arrived in time to see Stanley crowned this week’s winner!"
"The castle is revealed to be a bouncy castle filled with balls! The remaining designers struggled to create ball gowns literally out of balls but in the end some were able to pull it off. According to the judges, which included guest country singer Kacey Musgraves, the best and worst gowns belonged to Amanda, Fabio, Kimberly, Candice, Stanley, and Helen.
Amanda created a great dress, according to Isaac, though not a ballgown. Fabio wowed the judges with his modern take on the Egyptian royal attire by using gold volleyballs, Kimberly's "young and fresh" dress earned mixed reviews, Candice made a very unflattering dress, Stanley impressed with his Audrey Hepburn-inspired dress while Helen came up with a basic dress and threw a lot of shade.
In the end, Stanley won the challenge. And despite Helen throwing a fit, the judges decided to eliminate Candice. Did the judges make the right call? Project Runway All Stars airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Lifetime."
"On the one-year anniversary of Donald Trump's inauguration, the Charmed alum reminded listeners that while the #MeToo movement is the product of years of sexual harassment gone ignored, it has also brought women together like never before — and there's nothing more powerful.

"I want you to look around and I want you to realize, that this, this right here is what democracy looks like," Milano said during the protest. "It doesn't happen automatically. It demands our action and participation. It challenges us, but it also empowers us because at the end of the day, it is us.
"With those two words," she continued, "we regained our dignity and #MeToo connected us through our pain but it also connected us —and this is very important — it connected us, each one of us, to our own power, and by saying #MeToo, we formed a bond that is unbreakable. We formed a movement that is unstoppable and when time comes time to vote, you're gonna prove that it's also unbeatable.
"Voting is how we prove that our country is so much bigger and kinder than one man that is in the White House," she said. "The good news is that in a democracy like ours, the real power is not with him, it is with you. Let me tell you, we've got a whole lot more love and hope on our side than they have a**holes."
Women marched on Saturday not only to raise awareness for women's rights, but to support the immigrants and "Dreamers" Trump has turned his back on since he took office.
Milano has been outspoken on these issues since Trump targeted the DREAM act (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act), an Obama-era initiative that protects young undocumented immigrants from deportation."
"When Phoebe begins to have recurring nightmares of being followed down a dark and unfamiliar street, Piper and Paige try to help her understand whether these dreams are just dreams, or a premonition warning her of danger soon to come. After inserting her waking conscience into her dream, Phoebe soon finds that she has no control over its outcome, because it’s not her dream. It’s not even a dream. It’s real, and it’s about to go down.
Working together with their sister, Prue, and the reformed ex-demon Cole-who’s sworn to protect her and the magic of the Nexus-the Halliwell’s find themselves in a race to save the life of a witch with a special ability to communicate with the dead. With sinister forced at work, will the sisters be able to save this witch before dream becomes reality?
Inspired by the hit televisions series Charmed, the new novel Charmed: Social Medium continues the story of the Halliwell witches. With only the Book of Shadows to guide them, the Halliwell sisters are the fulfillment of their ancestor Melinda Warren’s prophecy that three sisters descending from her line would become the most powerful witches of all time. The sisters use the Power of Three to protect the innocent and banish evil from the Earthly realm."
"Book Description:
These walls have watched the witches;
the witches have watched the world.
These walls now turn against them —
some evil's been unfurled. . . .
The one thing any Halliwell witch has always been able to count on is Halliwell Manor, the ancestral home of the Charmed Ones and one of San Francisco's historical landmark homes. The grand old house has sheltered generations of women, and bits of Charmed history is practically built into the walls.
So when the Manor seems to have turned against its inhabitants, needless to say, the Halliwell sisters start to worry. It begins simply: The hot water heater is broken. No big: Leo's great around the house. But this is no simple plumbing problem. Soon, the Manor seems to be messing with the girls, Leo, and Wyatt in increasingly malicious ways. Thankfully, the Book of Shadows has created a safe zone for itself in the attic. But the Charmed Ones can hardly live up there forever. . . . Can they find out what's turned their safe haven into an evil lair before it's too late — for the Manor, and for them?"
"The Power to the Polls event intends to shift the movement’s focus to strategizing about the midterm elections. The 2016 march was held a day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Milano has previously been active with politics in Atlanta. The actress canvassed on behalf of Democrat Congressional candidate Jon Ossoff early last year, offering to drive voters to the polls.
Other scheduled speakers for the upcoming event include U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and Doraville council member Stephe Koontz, Georgia’s only transgender elected official.
The Jan. 20 event at the Bakery, a warehouse events space in southwest Atlanta along the Beltline, will run from noon to 4 p.m."
"Last week on Project Runway All Stars Season 6, the designers had to create distressed looks for a post-apocalyptic runway show. Some of the designers were struggling with having to rip up and burn the fabric, but they made it work and the judges were impressed. The bottom two looks came from Stanley and Kelly and the judges decided to send Kelly home, which shocked many fans of the show.
The Challenge
Alyssa Milano arranged a special dinner for the designers at Daniel. The designers sat at tables of two, which happened to be their partner for this challenge. For this challenge, they had to create complimentary looks inspired by the wine complimenting the food. In a shocker, Alyssa said the pair with the least favorite looks of the night would both be eliminated.
The Workroom
After enjoying the food at the restaurant, the designers did some sketching and then headed to Mood to pick up their materials and fabric. Back in the workroom, the pairs got started on their looks. Most of the pairs were working well together, but Candice was struggling with Merline, as Merline kind of designs as she goes. Candice needed something to know what she had to pair her look with, so she was stressing out."
