"Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has confirmed, via Twitter, that Peter Quill's ship in the film is named The Milano after Alyssa Milano, Peter Quill's childhood crush.
In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy comics, Star-Lord steals a sentient vessel that he simply calls "Ship." The change in name is presumably to help reinforce Quill's connection to 1980s Earth culture.
In the 1980s, Milano played the role of Samantha Micelli on the sitcom Who's the Boss?. In 1985, at the age of 12, she would appear in the film Commando. She continued to grow in fame, appearing in many made-for-TV movies, until she reached teen idol status. Peter Quill was hardly the only boy to have a crush on her during the decade.
Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1, 2014."
"Alyssa Milano stopped into Tribeca eatery Bubby’s for lunch with a male companion on Monday.
Wearing a navy blue dress, the expectant actress opted for a plate piled high with green vegetables, a spy tells Page Six.
Milano is expecting her second child, a daughter, with husband David Buligari this fall. “She looked like she was ready to give birth,” the source adds.
The “Mistresses” star, who graces the cover of the August/September issue of Fit Pregnancy, recently waxed poetic about motherhood.
“I loved waiting a long time to be a mom. I’d had my ladies’ lunches and my shopping days,” Milano, who is already mom to 2-year-old Milo, told the magazine.
“When Milo finally came, I thought — This is what I’ve waited for my entire life. I wish I could sleep more, but it’s not like I wish there were other things I could be doing socially or for my own benefit. Because I really feel like he’s completed me.”"
"She's heavily pregnant with her second child but that won't stop Alyssa Milano from wearing sky-high stiletto heels.
The 41-year-old was the epitome of maternity chic as she dressed her blossoming belly in a black and white dress after ringing the closing bell at the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in New York on Monday. The mom-to-be was joined by her fellow co-stars on Project Runway: All Stars, fashion designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman and Marie Claire editor Zanna Roberts Rassi.
Alyssa beamed in the Maison Valentino frock which was adorned with a long white tie down the front. She maneuvered gingerly through the Manhattan streets in her patent leather Jimmy Choo stiletto heels and at one point even sought the assistance of a handler to help her safely to her vehicle. The Mistresses star wore her brown locks in a sleek top knot bun with natural makeup on her fair skin and a slick of bright pink lipstick.

"Actress/author Alyssa Milano (Charmed, Mistresses) attended a book signing for her book ‘Hacktivist‘ at Barnes & Nobles Tribeca on July 22, 2014 in New York City.
Inspired by the antics of Anonymous, the hacker-activist collective, the graphic novel Hacktivist (via Archaia), explores the modern world of hacking and global activism. Described as a fast-paced cyber-thriller, the story follows Ed Hiccox and Nate Graft, the young founders of the world’s most innovative social media company who moonlight secretly as one of the most notorious black-hat hacker teams on the planet. When the U.S. government discovers their operation, they must face the real world beyond the code and choose between loyalty and what they believe to be is right.
